The Tunku Mahkota of Kedah, Dato' Seri Diraja Tunku Shazuddin Ariff Ibni Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin who is also the UUM Pro-Chancellor presented the Master, Bachelor degrees and 13 awards to the graduands.

The Vice-Gold Chancellor's Medal, UUM Alumni Association Award, Tunas Book Award, INTEL Excellence Award, and National Welfare Foundation (YKN) Excellence Award were among the honours conferred.

While delivering the Royal Address, His Royal Highness advised the graduands to have important characteristics such as respect, integrity, and ethics in order to be respected.

"As graduates, your conversations and actions should reflect that you acknowledge the role and ideas presented by those with whom you are dealing with.

“At the same time, graduates must have strong communication skills in order to resolve conflicts openly and directly,” stated His Royal Highness.

Workplace conflicts if ignored and neglected, according to His Royal Highness, would result in losses in the long run.

Furthermore, His Royal Highness advised graduates to hone their communication skills in order to ensure that the environment and atmosphere in the workplace are always healthy, as the organisation will undoubtedly be successful and advanced in the future.

Apart from Malay language, the emphasis on communicating in English language is important because employees who master English are more likely to be promoted than employees with similar career experience and educational background.

"Live the motto of Knowledge, Virtue, and Service because these qualities are important and capable of curbing negative behaviour not only in life but also at work," His Royal Highness continued.

His Royal Highness also expressed his congratulations to all the graduates who successfully completed their studies, making their mothers, fathers, and families happy, at this very meaningful ceremony.

Pro-Chancellor, also reminded them not to forget the role of their parents and all the educators who successfully educated them until they became graduates at this convocation.

"This success must be translated into service to family, university, and community as a sign of loyalty and love," His Royal Highness advised.
