INTENSIFY EFFORTS TO ACHIEVE THE GOAL

Hnizam Pelan Strategik new copyUUM ONLINE: The Presentation of the Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) Strategic Plan Achievement Report for the Third Quarter (January-September) 2022 took place in the Senate Meeting Room, recently.

A total of 50 key office bearers comprising Deans and Heads of Centres of Authority were physically present, while over 350 members of the UUM campus community witnessed the presentation online.

During the presentation, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr Haim Hilman Abdullah stressed that the achievement of this strategic plan required the commitment of all UUM denizens, whether directly or indirectly, because it not only reflected the university's performance at the national level, but also the university's position at the international level.

"As a result, all parties must collaborate and join forces to increase efforts to meet each performance indicator's target in the remaining two months," he said.

He added that the Core Committee played a more aggressive role in supporting each core it led as well as emphasising that all parties should be accountable for the quality of the data channelled so that the reported achievements accurately reflect UUM's current position.

"I admit that there are some performance indicators that are difficult and quite challenging to achieve.

However, I am confident that it will bear fruit as a result of the campus community's perseverance and cooperation.

"This has been proven by the various successes achieved by UUM in the QS Rankings and THE Rankings as well as international accreditation," he said.

UUM Strategic Plan focuses on six main cores, namely Academic Excellence, Research Excellence, Community Sustainability and Industry Relations, Financial Sustainability, Service Excellence, and Holistic Graduates.

During the meeting, he thanked everyone for their efforts in making the UUM Strategic Plan for the Third Quarter of 2022 a reality.

The Corporate Planning Division (BPK), as the secretariat that coordinates UUM's Strategic Plan, welcomes two-way communication with all schools and centres of authority for the purpose of improvement, in line with the University's continuous quality improvement practise.

Assoc. Prof. Dr Mazni Omar, Director of the Corporate Planning Division (BPK), presented the Third Quarter UUM Strategic Plan Achievement Report for 2022. Following that, the Core Chairman delivered the Core Achievement Report.
