SELF-SERVICE LAUNDROMATS MADE AVAILABLE AT UUM

UUM ONLINE: For the convenience of students during their stay at this university, the management of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) has taken the initiative to provide self-service washing machines and dryers at the Student Residential Hall (INASIS).

Tradewinds, Petronas, Grantt, Sime Darby, TM, and BSN are among the INASIS that have begun self-service laundry service operations as of yesterday, while other INASIS are still in the process of renovating the location and installation, which is expected to be completed by the middle of this month.

Meanwhile, UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah conducted a survey to inspect the self-service laundry and even spoke with students who use it.

Each INASIS will be assigned two installation locations for washing machines and dryers, with each location housing six washers and two dryers.

The installation of machine at INASIS now makes things easier for students, particularly during the rainy season, while also saving time for those who are busy attending lectures and other activities.

Prof. Dr Haim Hilman also visited the UUM Parcel Centre (UPC) at Tradewinds INASIS to observe the operations.
